Black Ambition, Techstars, and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund are collaborating to gather undergraduate and graduate students studying across disciplines at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to experience the highs, lows, fun, and pressure that make up life at a startup. Students will ideate, learn to validate business ideas, and create real companies with support from the very best mentors, investors, and seasoned entrepreneurs – all of whom are committed to bridging the wealth and opportunity gap by investing in Black entrepreneurs at an early stage.

Black Ambition is reducing barriers to capital and bridging the wealth gap through entrepreneurship. The Black Ambition Prize competition is a set of two prizes, The General Prize track and HBCU Prize track, designed to fund bold ideas led by Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs. This year’s cohort of 249 semifinalists are half way through their 3-month Futurist Mentor program, an initiative that provides founders with peer-to-peer learning, curated training opportunities, and networking opportunities. Today, we are excited to announce the top 50 finalists across both the General and HBCU Prize tracks.

Black Ambition and Mosaic Genius announce the Gathering on the Vineyard Prize Competition, an opportunity for Black and Hispanic entrepreneurs to pitch their business ventures for a chance to win access to mentorship and growth capital.A panel of expert judges will award $20k to the top three applicants.
